Volunteering for Relief Effort for Flooding in Texas

Late in May 2015, GSaaN’s Dallas team participated in the volunteer relief efforts in San Marcos and Wimberley, Texas, an area near Houston which was devastated by recent flooding. This relief effort was coordinated by Operation BBQ Relief(www.operationbbqrelief.org), an non-profit organization which provides meals to the first responders, search and rescue teams, and the displacedThe GSaaN team helped with volunteer efforts and managed packing and distribution logistics at the San Marcos deployment site.  A team of over 15 volunteers worked over two full days during that weekend, preparing and distributing foods to multiple mass serving locations.
